CBT must be completed by the majority of people wanting to ride a motorcycle on the road.*

Anyone riding for the first time should complete this training. The CBT consists of five main elements that must all be completed to a satisfactory standard before a certificate can be issued.

*A full car licence holder prior to 1 Feb 2001 wishing to ride a 49cc moped on a road does not require a CBT.
